Facilities

Since its opening in 1981, the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is regarded as one of the nation’s finest outdoor swimming and diving facilities. The aquatic center consists of three pools: an Olympic-sized 50-meter by 25 yard competition pool; a 25-yard, 18’ deep diving well; and 25-yard eight-lane warm-up pool. Other amenities include three platforms, four springboards, moveable bulkhead and team room. With seating for over 1,000 spectators, the facility was revitalized with a $1.2 million renovation in 2012.

Academics

Arizona State swimmers embody the term “student-athlete”. In January 2018, the CSCAA announced that both the Sun Devil men and women earned Scholar All-America honors for Fall 2017, marking the ninth consecutive semester dating back to fall 2013 that both squads have found a spot on the team. In fall 2017, the men posted the highest team GPA in the Pac-12.

Sun Devil swimmers & divers are high achievers with big goals in and out of the pool and our Office of Student-Athlete Development, led by Natalie Thackrah, helps them achieve those goals. If a student is falling behind or wants an edge in getting ahead, there are a wealth of opportunities available to them including free and unlimited tutoring, learning specialists, networking opportunities.

Pac-12 Conference

The Pac-12 Conference is known as one of the toughest and most dominant conferences in Olympic sports. The Pac-12 rises above the rest, upholding its tradition as the “Conference of Champions” ®, becoming the first conference to win 500 team titles in 2017. As of May 2018, the Pac-12 had won 511 NCAA championships, 200+ more than the next closest conference (Big Ten).
